I Skipped Yesterday Because…

Monday I was out socializing all day and drank my points! Not what I would suggest as the best way of dieting. While most dieters will tell you to skip alcohol as we have a tendancy to lose our resolve and common sense after a few drinks, and we eat anything. I did just the opposite and didn’t eat at all. Not good. Luckily, my choice of drink when I am out is vodka and water, so I got plenty of water and  each drink count was 2 pts. I have to say when you start out and you have 22 pts. to use, it can be quite a party! Needless to say, I didn’t have  a lot of energy yesterday and didn’t really feel like talking to anyone, thus no blog.

No matter what kind of diet you’re on, everyone advocates drinking plenty of water. I got the little set of facts in an email a couple of days ago and thought I would pass them on. A few more compelling reasons..

Lack of water
is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water
can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily
decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?
